This two-day adventure takes you along the final and most scenic section of the Inca Trail. You will visit important archaeological sites, hike through cloud forest landscapes, and arrive at Machu Picchu through Inti Punku (Sun Gate), just as the Incas once did.
Transportation, train tickets, official entrance permits, and professional guiding are included. Hotel accommodation and meals are not included but can be arranged upon prior coordination with the passenger.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Km 104 – Inca Trail – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes
Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Board the scenic train to Km 104, the official starting point of the Short Inca Trail.
After passing the control checkpoint, begin the guided hike along the original Inca Trail. Visit the archaeological site of Chachabamba and continue ascending through lush cloud forest to the impressive ruins of Wiñay Wayna.
- Hiking time: Approx. 5–6 hours
- Route: Km 104 – Wiñay Wayna – Inti Punku
In the afternoon, arrive at Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) and enjoy your first panoramic views of the citadel. Afterward, take the shuttle bus down to Aguas Calientes for overnight stay.
Day 2: Machu Picchu Guided Tour – Return to Cusco
Early shuttle bus to Machu Picchu for a guided tour lasting approximately 2–3 hours. Your professional guide will explain the history, architecture, and cultural significance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After the guided visit, enjoy free time to take photos. In the afternoon, return by train to Ollantaytambo and continue by tourist transportation back to Cusco.
