Upon your arrival in Lima, Peru’s vibrant capital, your journey begins. A representative from Cusconova Tours will be waiting for you at the airport to welcome you and escort you via private transportation to your hotel.

The rest of the day is free to relax, recover from your flight, and begin exploring Lima at your own pace—whether strolling along the coast, discovering local neighborhoods, or enjoying the city’s world-renowned cuisine.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided cultural and panoramic tour of Lima, famously known as the “City of Kings”, the former capital of Spanish rule in South America.

Our first stop is Huaca Pucllana, an impressive pre-Inca ceremonial and archaeological complex located in the modern district of Miraflores. From there, we continue to Lima’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We visit the iconic Plaza de Armas, surrounded by magnificent colonial buildings adorned with traditional wooden balconies, including the Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, and Municipal Palace.
Inside the Lima Cathedral, completed in 1649, admire its grand interior, religious artwork, and the tomb of Francisco Pizarro, founder of Lima.

Our tour concludes at the Convent of Santo Domingo, one of Peru’s most important religious landmarks, famous for its towering bell tower, exquisite 17th-century Sevillian tiles, and historical paintings depicting the life of Saint Dominic.

This morning, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco. As you fly inland, enjoy dramatic views as Peru’s desert coastline rises into the snow-capped peaks of the Andes Mountains.

Upon arrival, your private guide will meet you and begin a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. En route, we stop at a traditional Andean textile center, where you’ll encounter South American camelids and learn about ancestral weaving techniques.

We continue to the Pisac Archaeological Site, renowned for its impressive Inca terraces and sweeping valley views. Afterwards, explore the charming colonial town of Pisac, wandering its colorful artisan market—a vibrant cultural experience filled with local crafts, traditions, and daily life.

Later, we drive through the valley to Urubamba, where your hotel is nestled amid spectacular mountain scenery.

Overnight: Sacred Valley (Urubamba)

We begin the day around 8:00 a.m., heading first to Moray, a fascinating Inca agricultural laboratory made up of concentric circular terraces used for crop experimentation.

Next, visit the iconic Maras Salt Mines, where hundreds of salt pools cascade down the mountainside. Here, you’ll have time to purchase unique varieties of artisan Andean salt.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with stunning views of the Andes, surrounded by dramatic peaks and glaciers.
In the afternoon, explore the majestic Ollantaytambo Archaeological Complex, walking through its original Inca streets and visiting its ceremonial and religious sector—one of the most important sites in the Sacred Valley.

Return to the hotel with scenic photo stops along the way.

Early in the morning, transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the PeruRail Vistadome Train to Aguas Calientes. From there, a shared bus takes you up to the legendary Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Built around 1450 and mysteriously abandoned about a century later, Machu Picchu remains one of the world’s most awe-inspiring archaeological wonders. During your guided tour (approx. 3 hours), explore highlights such as the Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza, and Priest’s House, all set within a breathtaking mountain landscape.

After the visit, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then board the return train to Ollantaytambo. From there, continue by private vehicle to Cusco, the historic capital of Peru.

This is a full-day excursion. Please bring only what you need for the day; main luggage will remain in private transportation.

Today, discover Cusco, the legendary Imperial City and former capital of the Inca Empire, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The half-day city tour may take place in the morning or afternoon, depending on your preference.

Visit the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), the most sacred Inca site, renowned for its advanced engineering and fusion with Spanish colonial architecture. Continue to the Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial art and history.

Then explore the impressive archaeological sites surrounding the city:

• Sacsayhuamán, famous for its massive stone walls assembled with astonishing precision

• Qenqo, an ancient ceremonial site dedicated to Mother Earth

After breakfast, enjoy your final moments in Cusco before your private transfer to the airport for your return flight via Lima.
